Hometown Girl

Saoirse is a successful commercial photographer just about to open her first solo exhibit, based around her hometown and her childhood sweetheart. That childhood sweetheart is now Eli Fury, rockstar extraordinaire. Saoirse hasn’t seen Eli since they left their shared hometown a decade ago to take a record deal, and she would be lying if she said she didn’t resent them for it.

When Eli turns up and demands Saoirse both take the exhibit down and come on tour as their personal photographer, Saoirse can’t deny that the idea of a whirlwind tour of Europe and getting back to her passion of live photography appeals to her.

Saoirse agrees to go on tour, but she gets more than she bargains for when she begins to see beneath Eli’s rockstar persona and maybe fall back in love.

Hometown Girl is for lovers of funny romance novels with heart and plenty of lgbtq+ representation. If you like Red, White and Royal Blue you'll love this.

The Shape of His Teeth

In a world where blood is a commodity, vampires are at the whims of the few humans left alive. But Mother Nature is a vengeful force and some humans know all too well the bargaining chip that flows through their veins.

Mother Nature pulls at her apocalyptic puppeteer vines and gives Brennan a chance reunion with a human he'd met years before. This time he cannot resist this man, and sends them both tumbling into the abyss of blood-soaked hedonism, too good to be true.

The Shape of His Teeth is J's first novel, following a vampire surviving in the world post-Gaia, after Mother Nature has taken her dues. This supernatural lgbtq+ romance is filled with angst and spice, sprinkled with sweet fluffy moments.

J ASHTON

she/her

J has been a writer for as long as she can remember—her first 'novel' at eight years old was a story of a mermaid who discovered the grass isn't greener on the other side, clocking in at a whopping four whole pages!

Fanfiction plays a large part in J's life too, with over 2.6 million words on ao3. She believes fanfiction is an important space where minorities, women, lgbtq+ communities and other marginalised people have a direct voice to retake popular culture and media—where minority voices are sorely lacking.

J is a biromantic polyamorous asexual, an unapologetic queer whose emotions have always consumed her. She lives in Scotland with her spouse, two cats and two dogs. Her boyfriend has the audacity to live on the other side of the ocean and she often longs for communal living surrounded by found family.

Her works feature these themes, with plenty of lgbtq+ representation, found family fluffy feels and always a happy ending. That isn't to say J isn't partial to a morally grey character, an often frustrating main character who we'd rather be screaming at, or that kind of deep, longing angst that comes from lost love or relationships forced to span unfathomable space and time.
